Citriobatus pauciflorus  revised to Pittosporum multiflorum  (Pittosporaceae)
Orange Berry, Orange Thorn

A small spiny undershrub reaching a height of about two meters. Forms a dense thicket as new plants grow from fallen fruit.

The bright orange round fruit appear in winter. They have a thin peel with no flesh as such and contain up to several seeds depending on the size of the fruit.

Before the fruit has fallen, small white flowers appear late winter to early spring. New leaves start as a deep red.
