Kooragang City Farm has a number of current projects to become involved in or visit.

  • Community Garden volunteer days are every Tuesday and Friday. Everyone welcome. Come and learn about organic gardening and permaculture in the large vegetable and herb gardens and sub-tropical and stone fruit orchard. Learn More
  • Help care for the cattle. Learn More
  • Help maintain and augment areas of natural vegetation on City Farm. Learn More
  • Inspect the farm forestry project demonstrating integrated pasture grazing and alley cropping of eucalypts. Learn about carbon sequestration. Learn More
  • Have a quiet rest or nibble in the bush food forest garden. Learn More
  • Visit the ruins of an 1850's farm house, have a picnic and learn about early farming in the Hunter Estuary. Learn More
  • Enjoy a bicycle ride around the farm’s own cycle way or venture beyond to the surrounding wetlands. Learn More
  • Learn about the valuable wetlands of the Hunter River estuary. 
  • Arrange a tour or a field day for your group.
