The Hunter-Central Rivers CMA Board

The CMA is governed by a board appointed under the Catchment Management Authorities Act 2003 and comprising a chairman and six members - all of whom reside within the Hunter-Central Rivers region.

The Board reports directly to the Minister for Primary Industries, through the chairman, and sets the CMA's direction for investing in the future of our region's natural resources.

Board members are actively involved in community, government and industry activities and understand the environmental, social and economic issues facing our catchments.

Board meetings take place in a different part of our region every second month, with meetings of Board subcommittees - the Strategic Investment Committee and the Systems Audit Committee - occurring on alternate months.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As the CMA transitions to Local Land Services new arrangements are being put in place for governance of the  organisation. The terms of two CMA board members - John Weate and Jane Smith - recently expired.
