Are Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkIn and Blogs foreign entities to you?
Do you want to take the opportunity to use these tools to help reach your communities and to share your stories in sustainable natural resource management?
The Hunter- Central Rivers Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is inviting Landcare and other community groups working in the Hunter-Central Rivers region to attend a free one day course on using social media to reach your audiences.
Training will be delivered by social media specialists Bold Communications and will include the following topics:
- Overview of social media and Web 2.0;
- Types of social media platforms and their purpose;
- Social media as part of an overall online engagement strategy;
- Social media tools and how they relate to online engagement;
- An introduction to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and YouTube; and
- Developing online networks.
Course participants will be able to learn how to tap into technology to generate leads, build contacts and create lifelong connections with people and organisations who are also committed to natural resource management.
Funding for this course has been made available through Hunter Catchment Contributions and the NSW Government’s Landcare Support Program
